Manchester United will bid for Jordan Pickford to replace David De Gea.
The Spanish keeper’s Old Trafford exit looks more inevitable with each passing week as he refuses to commit to a long-term deal that has been on the table for months.
England No?1 Pickford, 24, is seen as perfect replacement to fill his gloves as his displays for club and country prove he has the bottle for the big stage.
De Gea is fancied by Italian giants Juventus, who may try to buy him in the summer or wait a year until he is a free agent.
United are yet to decide whether to cash in on the Spaniard at the end of the season.
However, they are sure about who they want to come in for him.
In another development, Eric Bailly is set for United talks as career stalls at Old Trafford — just two years after his £30million switch from Villarreal.
The Ivory Coast centre-back, 24, has not started a game since boss Jose Mourinho subbed him before half-time against Newcastle last month. He will meet United top brass this week to discuss their plans and whether he will be sold in January.Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is a fan after working with Bailly at Espanyol, as is Arsenal manager Unai Emery. – Eurosport
