Bishop Dr. Joseph Addo Ansah General Overseer of CIC, officially opening the 40th Anniversary Celebration the church.
The General Overseer of the Christ-Citadel International Church, Bishop Dr Joseph Addo Ansah, has admonished Christians not to give up on their faith in God in these trying times.
According to him, “the times in which we are, are trying moments, and the potential to weaken most Christians in terms of their faith, as a result Christians must always wear the armour of Christ to be able to hold fast to their faith.
“The devil tests the faith of Christians in different ways. Do not give up as Christians, but persevere in trying times.”
Bishop Dr Ansah, gave the admonishment during the launch of the 40th anniversary celebration of the church, held in Accra, on Wednesday.
The theme of the week-long celebration is anchored on Isaiah 43:18-19, which dwells on new beginning.
The church, which was established in 1978, currently has more than 20 branches across the world.
Bishop Dr Ansah said that new branches would be established in India, Namibia and other parts of Africa, to reach out to more people and transform their lives.
Speaking on the theme, Bishop Dr Ansah urged Christians to forgive those who offend them, saying “My dear Christians, let’s forget the former things, do not dwell on the past, and humble yourself to neighbours.”
He advised the youth to be aware of the seductive spirit as the devil was always on different missions to deceive people.
As part of activities to mark the occasion, the church would organise a free health screening for the members of the church and community, revival, Bible teachings and offer counselling to the youth in order to empower them.
