Rev Doe presenting a Bible to Rev Mrs Addo
The Associate Pastor of the King House Word Chapel International (Adom Fie), Reverend Francis Doe, has reminded the country’s leaders not to betray the trust reposed in them by the citizenry.
He said leaders should recognise that the positions they occupy, were given to them by God as such, they are accountable to him and the people.
Rev. Doe who was preaching the sermon at the ordination of the Head Pastor of Adom Fie, Rev. Mrs Constance Afia Adubea Addo, on Saturday, expressed concern that unfortunately some leaders became complacent and selfish after tasting power, forgetting that their prior responsibility was to alleviate the suffering of their people.
“Good leadership is critical in creating a better society but we find in our environment situations where those who lead are often not prepared for the demand of their office, and are rather interested in the prestige that comes with it,” he observed.
Rev. Doe noted that betraying the trust, confidence and love put in them could have monumental impact on the lives of the people which could be difficult to redeem.
He, therefore, enjoined political, religious and traditional leaders to align their visions to the needs of the people and to create better opportunities for them.
Rev. Doe urged the newly ordained and consecrated Rev. Mrs Adubea Addo to guard the faith, unity and discipline of the church and be faithful to her calling as a cleric and to demonstrate good leadership to the church and the entire society.
The head pastor of the Tema branch of the Glory House Bible Church, Rev. Dr Sam Ayi Ankrah, ordained Rev. Mrs Addo into the priesthood and charged her to epitomise the life of Jesus Christ and use her new status to be a more positive influence on the lives of lost souls and preach Christ to bring salvation to humanity.
Speaking to this paper, Rev. Mrs Addo admonished parents to instil the fear of God and good moral values into their children so they can ward off vices such as teenage pregnancy and substance abuse particularly excessive alcoholism and Tramadol abuse.
Rev. Mrs Addo pledged her readiness to take up the responsibility to propagate the word of God and bring salvation to all.
She urged Ghanaians to be cautious of their actions and inactions, live a life worthy of emulation and play their individual roles to propel the nation forward.
Before her ordination, Rev. Addo, regarded by the congregation as a humble servant with an ardent passion for the work of God and a heart for humanitarian activities, worked as a prayer warrior and an evangelist.
