Hundreds of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters and sympathisers in the La-Dadekotopon electoral area held a health walk dubbed “Healthy Life Walk” through some principal streets of the constituency
The walk was to close ranks and bring all party members to unite after the recently held constituency elections.
In attendance was the Chief Executive Officer of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Mr Mohammed Adjei Sowah, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the La-Dadekotopong Municipal Assembly (LaDMA), Mrs Gladys Tsotsoo Mann-Dedey, Greater Accra National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) Director Mr Archibald Cobbinah, NPP La constituency chairman Rev. Solomon Kotey Nikoi and madam Priscilla Naa Aklerh Odotei, wife of MP of La-Dadekotopon Mr Vincent Odotei Sowah.
The three-hour walk started from the party office in La through Labone, Cantonments, La Township and back to the starting point.
Addressing participants, Mrs Gladys TsoTsoo Mann-Dedey, decried the increasing abuse of Tramadol, a pain reliever, among the youth.
She urged members of the party to unite as one body to help President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to build a better Ghana for all.
The Greater Accra NADMO Director, Mr Cobbinah, called on participants as well as the grassroots to work effortlessly and help the constituency executive to also help the national executives to retain the party in power in the next elections.
