President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the President of Malta, Mrs Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, will meet at the Flagstaff House today to discuss issues of mutual concern to Ghana and Malta.
The high level diplomatic meeting is expected to strengthen the bilateral relationship and enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
A full Guard of Honour mounted by the Ghana Armed Forces will be held in honour of the Maltese President at the forecourt of the Flagstaff House before she meets President Akufo-Addo at the Ceremonial Entrance.
The two leaders will hold a one-on-one meeting at the Ceremonial Room and a roundtable discussion at the House’s Main Auditorium with delegations from both countries.
A ceremony will be held to crown the signing of Memoranda of Understanding by representatives from both countries.
Afterwards, the two leaders will hold a joint press conference to brief the media on the outcome of their discussions.
As part of her visit, Mrs. Preca will, on Thursday, meet Ghanaian entrepreneurs at a business forum in Accra.
The meeting will be attended by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and Chief Executive Officers of some private companies in the country. The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will be the guest of honour at the forum.
President Preca will meet the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi; visit the Hope X Change Medical Centre, the Osu Children’s Home, and visit Cape Coast, the Central Regional Capital.
