Accra Great Olympics will stay at the Accra Sports Stadium to play Dansoman Liberty Professionals in their match day 19 encounter of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
With the likes of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak and league leaders, WAFA all in action, Oly’s game is dominating the headlines because of the manner they crash at the same venue on Saturday in the hands of Tema Youth.
Until the 4-0 humiliation, Olympics had gone unbeaten in four games but were defeated in a way that left many wondering what inspired the team to the earlier feat.
Liberty would present a similar or even a more challenging task and that should make Oly sit up else they suffer another disappointing defeat.
Concerns were raised before the match over Coach Tom Strand’s decision to bench all the strikers and field four defenders and six midfielders which backfired.
Strand has conceded gambling with the game and would definitely revise his tactics to stay above water lest Liberty expose them again.
Hearts bounced back strongly against Bolga All Stars with a 4-0 victory and look set to extend that form to Elmina where they travel to play as guests of Elmina Sharks.
The Sharks started the campaign poorly but woke from their slumber and are currently competing in the middle ranks of the table where they hope to earn at least a point from the Phobians.
Bolga All Stars Coach, Nuhu Mallam, made it clear that after their heavy loss to Hearts that they will not give up on the relegation battle.
That spirit is what will drive them on when they host leaders, WAFA at the Tamale Utrecht Park.
Tema Youth will return to their Tema base to play Aduana Stars in a game that will test the home team’s resolve while Kumasi Asante Kotoko return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to engage Wa All Stars.
At the Len Clay Sports Stadium, Ashantigold will host Inter Allies; Medeama face Bechem United at Bechem and Berekum Chelsea welcoming Dwarfs to the Golden City Park in Berekum.
