
The Catholic Voices Ghana has honoured individuals, philanthropists and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) for their dedication and selfless commitment and impactful contributions towards improving the standard of living of people.
The event, dubbed “MO NE ADWUMA” was held at the old Magistrate Court at Wawasi, in Obuasi, to honour distinguished personalities from the Adansi community.
In attendance were the clergy, local businessmen and women, families and friends of the awardees, media representatives and the general public.
This inaugural event celebrated the remarkable contributions of several indigenes who made significant impacts in various fields of mankind.
Some of the individuals that received the Awards at this year’s event include His Lordship John Yaw Afoakwah, Catholic Bishop of Obuasi, Nana Kwantenpenaa Kwamoah Bosompem, Reagent of Adansi Odumasi; Rev. Dr. Love Konadu, Executive Director of Love Foundation.
Others are Mr. Richard K. Ellimah, Journalist and Expert in Mines and Sustainable Development; Mr. David Hagan, Director of Galaxy Foundation and a past Winner of MTN Heroes for Change; Mrs. Louisa Amoah, Executive Director of Girl Shall Grow Foundation and Mr. Charles Wudengba, Executive Director, Wundef Media.
The awardees expressed their heartfelt joy and appreciation for the recognition of their hard work and dedication.
Mr. Joseph Owusu-Addo, Executive Director of Catholic Voices GH, extended his gratitude to the awardees for their impactful contributions to society in their various catchment areas of operations.
He emphasised the importance of celebrating individuals who dedicated their lives through selfless commitment to impact the society positively while they are alive.
Mr. Owusu-Addo also announced that the “MO NE ADWUMA” programme will become an annual event aimed at recognising individuals across Ghana, who are making a difference in the lives of others.
