Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), cast his vote at exactly 8:00 a.m. today.
He voted at the Apagyafie Ashtown polling station (code: FI90202) in the Manhyia South constituency in Kumasi.
The NPP running mate and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Manhyia South Constituency and former Education and Energy Minister, was accompanied by a few party and government appointees to the polling centre.
After voting, Napo, as he is affectionately called in the political space, encouraged all eligible voters across the country to turn out to exercise their franchise.
He made a passionate appeal to everyone to go out and vote without fear while conducting themselves reasonably to ensure peaceful elections.
The wife of Napo, Mrs. Alma Pokua Adade-Prempeh also cast her vote at the same centre.
