Eunel Charity Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has donated items worth GH¢6.000.00 to Ashan Children’s Home at Danase int he AfigyaKwabre North district of Ashanti region.
The Foundation donated provisions, Exercise Books, Notes Books, Soft drinks, Pens, Pencils, Rulers, Towels, Detergents, Clothes,Sanitizers, Washing Powders, Givers Liquid Soaps and Sanitizers,Toiletries, Biscuits Bathing Towels and two bags of Rice.Eunice Agyei Yeboah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization and National Service Personnel at Ghana Standards Authority Head Office explained that the gesture was to put smiles on the faces of
the inmates in line with the objective of the organization to help the needy or vulnerable in society.
The gesture, she said, is premised on the realization that the government cannot do it alone in solving the problem the country is facing hence their resolve, like other individuals and civil society organizations, to support the needy and vulnerable in the society.According to the CEO, contributions from the membership of the organization made it possible for the organization to reach out to the inmates at Ashan and expressed her profound gratitude to Dr. S. K Boafo, Nii Offei and Givers, dealers in Ointments and Soaps for their unflinching support.
She revealed that the Foundation was considering providing boreholes to communities in remote areas without potable water, and pleaded with well-meaning Ghanaians to help them towards the initiative.Eugene Tony Fosu, Agyenim Boateng Junior, Co-CEO and Public Relations Officer respectively stressed that the organization would not relent in helping the needy and vulnerable in the society.
Mrs. Christiana Jun Konadu, who received the items on behalf of the administrator of the home commended Eunel Charity Foundation for the kind gesture.She pleaded with other civil society organizations to emulate the shining example of the organization to secure better future for the inmates.
