The Stakeholders Association of the Kwadaso Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Nurses and Midwifery Training College has presented a set of 100 tables and chairs to the Barekese campus of the College.
The furniture, worth GH¢33,000, are to augment those provided by the school for use in the new auditorium.
The association also commissioned a place of convenience to serve both visitors and students.
The Stakeholders have already built a 12-flat residential accommodation for staff and provided a Toyota Hilux pick up, as well as a 33-seater Costa bus over the years since 2014.
Presiding Elder Peter Antwi, Chairman of the association who presented the chairs and commissioned the toilet facility last Thursday, said the gesture was in reciprocation of the commitment of the management and teaching staff to give off their best in maintaining standards in moulding the lives of students in preparation for life.
He said the association had, among others, also completed the construction of an 80-capacity hostel for the school, and pledged that membership of the association would work assiduously towards complementing efforts of the government and management in the running of the College.
The Principal of the College, Mr. Daniel Atta-Tuffuor, commended the association for its endless support and commitment towards the growth of the College.
He assured that the management of the College would maintain all facilities provided by the stakeholders to ensure that they serve the purpose for which they were provided.
He said the College was constructing a GH¢6 million students hostel from its Internally Generated Funds, which project is expected to be completed by the close of the year to enable the College absorb more students.
The Principal disclosed that the college had enough space for infrastructural development, especially, more classrooms.
He complained that over the past ten years health training institutions in the country have not had any tangible support in the area of infrastructure, and appealed to the government to ensure that health training institutions qualify to benefit from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund.)
