Nana Agyemang Badu Duah I, Chief of Kunsu in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region, has been honoured by the Ahafo Ano South District Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Services for his humanitarian support for the Health Center at Kunsu.
A citation read in his honour said the Chief has made a remarkable impact on the health and socio-economic life of persons living in and around the Ahafo Ano South West District.
It described the Chief as having determination and unabashed love for the plight of his people.
The citation added that the Chief had also strengthened the fabric of health through his singular effort by fully furnishing the health center, as well as residential accommodation for all staff, and thus has successfully raised the profile of the health center and exemplarily worked hard to put systems in place to make health provision functional and effective within the Ahafo Ano South West District.
“He has certainly set a fine example of reliability, dependability, commitment of his people”, the citation read.
In a related development, Nana Agyemang Badu Duah I, has donated 50 bags of cement to the Kunsu Health Center, and awarded GH¢500.00 each to three nurses of the health center.
The Chief has promised to pay the monthly salary of one nurse at the health facility from his own resources.
