Tottenham slipped to back-to-back Premier League defeats as Jamie Vardy’s penalty and a Toby Alderweireld own-goal earned Leicester a 2-0 victory in north London.
Vardy converted on the stroke of half-time after Serge Aurier’s brainless challenge on Wesley Fofana, before Alderweireld diverted the Englishman’s header into his own net early in the second period.
It could have been worse for Spurs, with James Maddison having a goal chalked out by VAR for a tight offside call inbetween the two efforts which did stand.
