Rev. Dr. Mrs. Grace Sintim Adasi has been inducted into office as the 17th Principal of Agogo Presbyterian College of Education.
Rev. Professor Joseph Obiri Mante, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), who performed the induction ceremony, reminded the new Principal to steer the affairs of the college in the same Presbyterian ethics her forebears have done.
He stated that difficult as the task may seem, the Presbyterian Church has almost two centuries of educational heritage endowment to draw from.
He disclosed that as part of the PCG’s commitment to women’s empowerment, the college has, from its inception, trained and designated a single-sex school to empower young women to reach their full potentials as far as formal education was concerned.
Dr. Mrs. Grace Adasi expressed her profound gratitude to the Presbyterian Church for the confidence reposed in her, and promised to work assiduously to lift the status of the college.
She pleaded with the teaching and non-teaching staff to remain united and support her to deliver her mandate in order not to let down the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, and to succeed in the realisation of their core mandate of empowering women, especially the young ones, to reach their full potential.
