Ashcell Limited, authorised Ashanti Regional MTN Distributor and its partners have donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), at an estimated cost of GH¢23,500, to the front line workers of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
The items included 10,000 dispensable face masks, 12 hand gloves, 10 thermometer guns, 12 BP machines, 20 Pulse Oximeters, and 40 face shields.
Mr. Jerry Otchi, Cooperate Services Executive, explained that the gesture was geared towards the fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Mr. Otchi expressed the hope that the gesture would go a long way to help the front line staff, the hospital, and Ashanti Region as a whole in containing the virus.
Dr. Oheneba Owusu-Danso, Chief Executive of KATH, who received the items on behalf of management, expressed profound gratitude to Ashcell and partners for the donation to support the hospital in this needy time.
He hoped management could continue to count on the support of organisations like Ashcell and MTN in the years ahead in their quest to provide quality health services to the public.
