The Kwadaso Constituency Executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the target of being one of the ‘World Banks’ of the party in the Ashanti Region is achieved.
They executives targeting a voter population of 108,000 to be captured in the new ongoing voter’s registration exercise.
Chairman Boadi said the constituency has always been the second highest in terms of votes for the party in the Ashanti Region, and aspires to become the first in the 2020 general elections.
The Constituency Chairman, Mr. Yaw Bonna Boadi, told The Chronicle in an interview that a total of 50,342 eligible voters in the constituency had been captured in the register as at the close of Phase 3 of the registration exercise.
He said Kwadaso Constituency is always a peaceful one when it comes to voter’s registration exercises and voting, and was hopeful that the remaining three phases of the exercise would be better and capture a greater number of eligible voters.
On the issue of the rancour and acrimony which characterised the parliamentary primaries in the constituency, the Constituency Chairman said that the executives had united after the primaries and were working together for the common good of the party, emphasising, “that is all what a healthy contest is about.”
The acting Constituency Second Vice-Chairman cum Treasurer, Mr. Samuel Donkor, popularly called ‘Amansie,’ said he was confident that the target would be achieved, because the remaining areas yet to be captured under the exercise, are all strong support bases of the party in the 118 polling stations under the 17 electoral areas of the constituency.
