The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Tano South Municipality in the Ahafo Region, Mr. Collins Offinam Takyi, has disclosed that residents in the area will soon receive a lot of completed projects.
These projects include a Business Resource Centre situated at Bechem, the district capital.
The centre will become a one-stop-shop business development and investment hub, which will provide a full range of information for potential and existing entrepreneurs in the municipality.
The Education Directorate will soon be handed a six-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Breme.
The classroom block is the first of its kind to be constructed for the people in over two decades.
Again, a three-unit classroom block, office, library, storeroom, and toilet for the people of Asuboi have been completed. This facility has come as a relief, since the only school, which was established about 50 years ago, had no Junior High School (JHS).
The students, after completing upper primary have to go to Akobro, another community, which is about five to six kilometres walk, to continue JHS, as a result, most of the students drop from school.
The Derma Methodist Primary block has also been completed and will soon be handed over to the Ghana Education Service to be used by the people of Derma.
Mr. Offinam Takyi has given the assurance that every community under his jurisdiction will benefit from the share of the national cake.
