Supreme Court has dismissed the suit challenging the eligibility of Mr Martin Alamisi Barnes Kaiser Amidu to be appointed as the Special Prosecutor.
Filed by a former deputy Attorney General, Dominic Ayine, the suit argued that Mr Amidu, who, at the time of the suit in 2018, was 66, had past the statutory age limit for such an appointment, and prayed the court to revoke same.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court, early Wednesday, in a 5-2 decision dismissed the application.
