‘I woke up in Brazil’ is a long awaited dream song of Langford Fiifi Quarpong, a.k.a ‘Biggfee’, a young Ghanaian rapper, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur and a record executive, specialising in the hip-hop genre.
The single track, featuring Abladzo Kwame, also known as Veve, was released this year, February 2020, and has attracted lots of views and followers.
The single track has already received high prompts, supported by a quality music video, which was produced by Nektunez and directed by Bliss Gordon Drums, a Tema-based creative director and sound engineer.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Chronicle, Biggfee said his music career aided him to fight his depression.
According to him, he suffered great depression which made him to write down an album of 24 tracks (Riches in My Dreams), while he was hospitalised in Maryland.
Biggfee suffered depression due to a relationship that hit the rocks, which led him to abuse drugs.
During the period of hospitalisation, he found a new love in music which serenaded his soul and spirit. He used the opportunity of loneliness in the hospital to write a lot of songs which helped to purify his mind and heart and fast track his recovery.
He was born in Cape Coast but started his music career in the United States of America. In America, he bonded with great rap stars like Fat Joe and also had his own circle of musicians in New Jersey, called Bluebird Music Group.
