My Dear People of Africa, many are you who will prefer China to the USA and are seriously hoping for the day when the latter will be no more and China will become the undisputed world super power.
You have the right to think so and wish so, but remember that the quinine you know may be better than the chocolate candy you do not know. Because when China becomes firmly in control of Africa, our freedom will cease to exist. That will be the re-colonialism in Africa with the highest level and ugliest form of racism on her people.
The modern African youth who have certainly not experienced Slavery and Colonialism, must now stand firm, the worst is about to descend upon them, and upon the continent.
The Chinese invaded our turf, went into our forests and destroyed the environment with such impudence, searching for gold and other minerals. They also went on to cut down precious and preserved trees like Rosewood. Their intention is to enrich and beautify their country and homes, while leaving behind for us, poisoned water sources, unfertile lands and deserts to replace our forests.
In their quest for our wealth, they even went on to do the unthinkable, they kill our own. But anytime these Chinese misbehave and we complain, we are reminded that they have giving us loans so we should shut up. In fact, the immediate past Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Madam Sun Baohong, who I called our Governess, reacted bitterly and demanded we stop maligning her unruly Chinese people in Ghana.
The Chinese have given us loans of which we have officially appended our signatures to, and legally agreed that we owe them. Meanwhile, they “stole” our gold and Rosewood among others, which, unfortunately, we do not have any documentation to prove how much it cost. So, as it stands, we cannot reconcile what we owe them with what they owe us to know who is indebted to whom. The least we can do is to quantify the degradation of our environments and make the Chinese pay for this.
With loans, tied in some conditionality, China has cleverly put African nations under her thumb. Non-payment of loans will mean China taking over very vital and essential sectors of the economy to her benefit for decades. This has started in Zambia.
This is another form of slavery, because, sooner than later, Africa is going into bondage, with China as our new Slave Master and Colonial Master.
And we shall have no help from anywhere, because Black African matters do not concern the Whites, the Asians and the Arabs. It is like we are not regarded at all in this world. When it comes to choosing a Black person for any position in these nations, he or she must be better than their best to be considered good enough to hold that position.
We have nowhere to go, no one to turn to, except to ourselves. Even here, there is a problem, because of the case of Coronavirus which is a chapter in my yet-to-be-published book, “The Political Theory of Organized Chaos,” we do not regard and respect each other. We are made to understand and accept that we are very superior to other Black persons, so when we say “Black is Beautiful,” we only refer to the colour of our individual skins. For, how come that South African Blacks can treat other Black Africans worse than the Whiteman treated them during apartheid?
Today, the Chinese are treating our brothers and sisters in China as if they are some diseased animals which must be thrown out onto the refuse dump. Seizing their passports, which they know they have no right to, but guess what, they are doing this because they already believe that the whole of Africa is now their colony, so they have the right to even deny us our nationality and status.
While all this was going on it seemed our African envoys went to sleep, may be they were asked to proceed on compulsory siesta by the Seat of Government back home. But, kudos to Nigeria’s Consul General to China, Cyril Maduabuchi Anozie, he confronted the Chinese authority and retrieved the seized passports and gave them some lessons in Courtesy for Boys and Girls and in International Law and Relations. He made me feel proud.
Cyril Anozie, like Arikana Chihombori-Quao, must be the role model for all Africans who want to stand up and face the world and say “enough is enough.” We hope they will not be cleared out of the way like many other African nationalists were. And I hope they will have the full backing from all Africans, including our leaders, and have people gathering in the millions to rally behind them, so that with one voice, we can shout down any oppressor and demand and get respect for all Africa.
With the kind of African leadership we have now, especially in the Africa Union (AU), where they could dismiss Arikana from office as an Ambassador to the USA, I doubt whether our march towards freedom, respect and recognition would be any easy.
The Chinese have landed; they can freely do anything to us in our own countries as they can do in theirs. But must we allow that? Are we ready to cede our freedom and go back into slavery and colonial rule?
Think well over this, because the Chinese are not like the Whites, for if the Whites treated us as second class humans, the Chinese are treating like some animals.
