The House of Faith Ministry, headquartered in Kumasi, has embarked on a free health screening exercise for the people of the Hwidiem community in the Atwima Nwabiagya District as part of its 30th Anniversary celebrations.
The residents were screened for blood pressure, sugar level, breast cancer and malaria.
According to Elder Bright Arkhurst, leader of the medical team, the gesture was aimed at giving back to society by seeking the social interests and physical well-being of residents.
Rev. Lamour Latif Agyemamg, in-charge of the church outreach and evangelisation, noted that the church believed in winning more souls to Christ through the exercise.
He pleaded with other churches and religious groups to also emulate their shining example, and reach out to the needy by addressing both their spiritual and physical needs.
