Eucharist Adoration Chapel block commissioned …For Manso Ayirebikrom Grotto

 

A Chapel of Eucharist Adoration for the Manso Ayirebikrom Grotto has been commissioned by the Most. Rev.  John Yaw Afoakwah, Catholic Bishop of the Obuasi Diocese, with the assistance of the Parish Priest. Rev Fr. Venatius Anayo Onwuzulike, and Rev. Fr. Livinus Onwuzulike, Catholic Bishop.

The construction of the project was sponsored by Mr. Peter Amankwa, alias Amas, and his wife, Joyce Nyarko, at the cost at GH¢15,000.

The Catholic Bishop thanked the couple for their contribution to the development of the prayer grounds, and urged other members of the church to emulate their shining example.

Nana Opia Mensah, Chief of Manso Mim and Otumfuo’s Wirepehene, attended the commissioning of the grotto.

The commissioning ceremony coincided with the pastoral visit of the Bishop to Agroyesum Parish at Manso Ayirebikrom, where he celebrated Holy Mass for over 3,000 Catholics and non-Catholics

The Catholic Bishop called on Christians to hold onto their faith, and not allow other teachings to change their mindsets about Catholicism.

He said the Catholic Church has enough teachings and sacraments which can help them in their prayers

The church catechists, Mr. Joseph Kwasi Mensah and Mr. Joseph Boadi, said the grotto was started five years ago with the support of Mr. Amankwa and his wife and contributions from the church.
