Mariah Carey ended 2016 on a very low note, but 2017 is looking up — way up.

At the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, the singer walked the red carpet in a green printed chiffon gown designed by Philipp Plein. The floor-sweeping number featured a waist-high slit that showed off her entire left leg and strappy Christian Louboutin heels. The bodice nipped at her waist, and the very deep V neckline was just one wrong move away from a wardrobe malfunction.

She accessorized simply with a white beaded necklace, diamond bracelets on both arms, and stacks of rings.

As for her hair, she styled it in loose curls with a center part, and her makeup was natural-esque, featuring a smoky eye, nude lip, and glowing tan.

Plein shared a shot of Carey on Instagram and commenters overwhelmingly loved the look. One wrote, “wow mimi looks amazing!!” Another shared, “She looks stunning” followed by multiple heart-eye emojis. Among the positive adjectives used were stunning, gorgeous, queen, amazing, and more.
