He expressed his delight about the discipline that characterized the conduct of the delegates’ conference and the COVID-19 protocols observed in the region and hailed the regional executives, well-wishers, sympathizers, and the party faithful for their conduct.
Speaking to the media yesterday in Accra, Oheneba Bawuah was confident that, with the energy and enthusiasm of party polling station and constituency executives, the region is poised for breaking the 8-year political cycle in 2024.
He called for peace, unity, cohesion, and harmonious coexistence in the party and charged them to remain focused and steadfast to conquer and ensure the breaking of the 8-year cycle a reality in 2024.
Oheneba Bawuah cautioned that without peaceful co-existence, unity, cohesion, and harmony it would be an insurmountable task to break the cycle however, it would be a historic feat when it was achieved.
“We have to achieve the historic feat so as to continue the development agenda of the government and not derailed by our political opponents but to ensure that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo completes his term with his party in the helm of affairs of the country,” he stressed.
Oheneba Bawuah is the son of the late and first Aboafuohene of Asante (Professor Adum Bawuah then the first African Professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in the USA), has played major roles in the campaign activities and electioneering of the late Prof. Adu Boahen, former President Agyekum Kufuor and President Akufo-Addo.
He is also the Chief Patron of the Patriotic Ambassadors Movement (PAM) which worked in canvassing for grassroots votes in the 2016 and 2020 general elections and during the 2021 Delegates Conference, the group donated boxes of nose masks to the Ashanti Regional Organiser of the NPP.
