The Black Stars will begin their World Cup Qualification against the Walyas of Ethiopia on Friday at the Cape-Coast stadium.
The Black Stars are hoping to make a return to the World stage having missed out on the 2018 edition in Russia.
Ahead of Friday’s encounter, the GFA President paid a courtesy call on the team and charged them to play as a unit if they want to be successful and send Ghana to the promise land i.e World Cup.
“The preparations towards the games starts from here. It’s so important everyone keeps their eyes on the vision, and the vision is to qualify for the Mundial.” – Kurt told the team
“It will not only take my effort or his effort or your efforts to take us to the promise land. It will take our collective efforts. That’s why when you’re selected to go play on Friday you need to go and play as a unit.” – He continued,
“It’ll not be easy but each one of you has the responsibility to encourage each other right from the blast to make our dream real. Again it will not be easy, but when we stay as a unit, we’ll go through this battle.” – Kurt concluded.
Ghana have been drawn with Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and 2010 World Cup hosts, South Africa, and will need to win the group in order to have any chances of making the final stage of the World Cup Qualifiers. Read Full Story
