With a current case count of 9, management of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly has directed that the populace adheres to the wearing of facemasks in compliance with President Akufo-Addo’s directives on keeping strict health protocols.
A statement cited by Ghanaweb indicated that public and private institutions are to ensure individuals wear the facemasks before they are allowed entry.
Commercial drivers, traders, market women, restaurant operators, vendors and others are all to enforce the wearing of the protective masks in the course of their work.
“Management of CCMA advises all public and private institutions including hospitals, clinics, shops, banks, pharmacies, lorry stations among others are to put notices of NO FACEMASK, NO ENTRY,” the statement added.
The directive is supposed to take effect from Monday, April 27, 2020.
