This was the prayer of Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West after she and her colleagues migrated from the Majority side of the House, to populate that of their colleagues at the Minority.
Speaking to a group of journalists after a near 2-hour message by President Akufo-Addo on the State of the Nation this year, Madam Owusu-Ekuful pledged that the NPP government will continue to the do developmental projects and good governance they have been mandated by the populace.
“…we will work hard to continue to deliver good governance, progress, prosperity, development to the Ghanaian people,” she continued.
The Ablekuma West MP who couples as the Communications Minister lambasted members of the Minority who staged a boycott of the President’s State of the Nation Address on Thursday, February 20 in Parliament.
After they moved out, however, members of the Majority split themselves in two, with some of them moving from their side to occupy the vacant seats of the Minority members.
Led by MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, the NPP legislators, all clad in white outfits filled the seats starting from that of the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu.
A visibly excited Kennedy Agyapong quickly made himself comfortable in the seat of the Minority Leader while his other colleagues picked the rest of the ‘spoils’.
President Akufo-Addo in his final statements after his delivery noted that his party was going to make sure they filled the remaining seats after the December elections this year.
With a prayer of conviction, the Ablekuma West MP buttressed the President’s statement with a quotation from the Bible.
