However, former President Jerry John Rawlings and his wife, former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings who were present in the House sat through the session.
The question on the minds of critics is why the former President who is the founder of the NDC did not join the minority in their walk out.
The Minority at a press conference on Thursday answered the question.
According to Minority Leader, Haruna Idrissu, the boycott was decision of the Minority MP's and not a collective decision of the NDC.
He reiterated the unity within the party and said their founder is still an integral member of the party.
