Yakubu Mohammed opened the scoring for the host after just 20 minutes but Great Olympics leveled through Sulley just five minutes to the break.
The Royals began the game strongly and could have opened the scoring as early as the first minute, after Cephas Doku missed an early opportunity.
Few minutes later Yakubu Mohammed nearly scored for Legon Cities after punching on a through pass from Karim Jabila.
After waves and waves of attack, the hosts grabbed the opener after Maxwell Oppong brilliantly outwitted three Olympics players to lay a pass to Yakubu Mohammed, who went pass the on rushing Olympics goalie to slot the ball home.
Olympics were awoken by Legon Cities’ lead and took advantage of their first and real chance when Sulley prided in with six minutes left in the first half.
Sulley’s overall display in the game did not go unnoticed as he was handed the best of the match accolade.
