Nana Akufo-Addo expressed hope that Justice Anin-Yeboah will be an effective leader of the judiciary, adding that he expects fairness at all times.
Swearing in Justice Anin-Yeboah on Tuesday, 7 January 2020, the President praised his [Anin-Yeboah] achievements as far as the development of the various courts is concerned, and advised him to jealously guard the independence of the judiciary.
“I’m sure Justice Anin-Yeboah will be an effective leader of the judiciary”, the President said, adding: “Guard jealously its independence, bring honour to the judiciary and to our country and be a worthy successor to Justice Sophia Akuffo”.
“I expect decency, discipline, fairness, hard work, deep-seated respect for the rule of law, and the continuing modernisation of the judicial activities to be the hallmarks, too, of his era as Chief Justice,” Nana Akufo-Addo articulated.
The President urged Justice Anin-Yeboah’s colleagues on the Bench and members of the bar to support and cooperate with him to promote the rule of law.
