Ghana signs provisional order for three 787 Dreamliners with Boeing at Dubai Airshow

Government has signed a provisional order for three 787-9 Dreamliners at the Dubai Airshow.

Minister for Aviation, Joseph Kofi Adda, who signed the deal on Tuesday, told reporters that Ghana intends to launch a new airline in which the government will hold a 10% stake and the rest will be held by the private sector.

Government also signed a deal with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada to buy six Dash8-400 aircraft making a total of nine aircraft.

The plan to reestablish a national flag carrier has been in the works for some time now.

The deals signed by Aviation Minister are expected to further the dream to see a new national airline take to the skies. Read Full Story
