Minister for Aviation, Joseph Kofi Adda, who signed the deal on Tuesday, told reporters that Ghana intends to launch a new airline in which the government will hold a 10% stake and the rest will be held by the private sector.
Government also signed a deal with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada to buy six Dash8-400 aircraft making a total of nine aircraft.
The plan to reestablish a national flag carrier has been in the works for some time now.
