“If a prophet gives you a prophesy and claims something will happen within a given timeframe and this does not come to pass as prophesied, then the prophet is not a man of God,” he said.
Quoting from the book of Deuteronomy chapter 18:20-22, in the Bible, Don D said, “but a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.
"You may say to yourselves, 'How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?' If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.
Don D, real name, Dennis Boafo said since most of these prophesies which have gained traction in the public space have not come true, it was evident that the people making those prophesies are false prophets and should be ignored.
“When God speaks, He acts on his word, yet we have prophesies about presidential candidates winning elections in 2012 in Ghana, yet we were all in this country and saw those candidates losing the elections. Those were not prophesies but predictions,” he added.
He also said it was hypocrisy for Christians to claim it’s a sin to drink alcohol. “There is nothing wrong with taking alcohol as long as you do not abuse it or get drunk,” he said.
Don D said he plans to use the medium of Gospel music to inspire the youth and win them to Christ. He added that the youth are being drawn towards secular music and Gospel artistes must do more to arrest this trend.
