Near gas explosion at Madina-Ritz junction in Accra

Two years ago, Accra experienced a serious gas explosion at Atomic Junction near Madina. Lives were lost and property destroyed. Citizens also made a lot of comments about the incident.

Another explosion nearly occurred today (November 14) at a gas station at the Ritz Junction on the Madina Adenta stretch.

GBC’s Radio Ghana correspondent George Ankrah who witnessed the incident said he had to get off a bus in which he was traveling on his way to work to avoid an untimely and preventable death.

There was pandemonium in the area as people had to run for their lives. There was also traffic-jam and vehicles had to make a quick u-turn.
