In a contest held on Thursday at the secretariat of the GFA, Salifu Zida and Robert Duncan failed to break the tie after three rounds of contest.
The two will, therefore, square off on Friday ahead of the presidential elections to determine who joins Linford Asamoah Boateng who was voted on Thursday to represent the RFA’s on the ExCo.
Linford Asamoah Boateng picked up one of the two available slots allocated to the RFAs on the new Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council.
The Eastern Region FA boss polled 4 votes to win the elections while Robert Duncan and Salifu Zida (3 votes each) couldn’t break the tie in their poll after three voting attempts.
Therefore, another election will be held on Friday 25th October in accordance with Article 30.8 of the GFA Statutes to determine who wins the final slot. Read Full Story
