Black Stars technical team must resign - Mohammed Polo

Ghana Football legend, Mohammed Polo has called on Kwesi Appiah and the other members of Black Stars technical team to resign after their 2019 AFCON failure.

Ghana was booted out of the competition after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia in the Round of 16 stages after playing out a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes.

The last 16 eviction is the country’s worst performance in the continental showpiece since 2006.

Speaking on Happy FM, the former Hearts of Oak gaffer argued that the team’s performance in Egypt is the worst so far in the history of the senior national team.

“Although in 1984 Ghana didn’t perform well, this years’ performance by the Black Stars in the AFCON is the worst performance of the team so far. They had the opportunity to win the trophy but they failed.”
