According to him, before former President John Mahama left office, he put a lot of measures in place to make it relatively easier for his successor, by "bequeathing a buoyant economy driven by the mining and oil sectors."
Sammy Gyamfi, who was speaking on the back of 'Kum Yen Preko' demonstration during a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', was however saddened that despite all positive economic indices, "the current administration under President Akufo-Addo has failed to live up to expectation and the level of hardship being experienced unsurpassed....it appears they (NPP) are underestimating the hardship in Ghana…all these borrowed monies, what projects are there to show for?...what is Akufo-Addo using the money for?"
