Annan, 25, was the only the home-based athlete to make the final squad of Coach James Kwasi Appiah, which was released on Monday, June 10.
Annan, was one of the three goalkeepers selected for the continent’s flagship tournament namely Richard Ofori (Maritzburg United, South Africa) and Lawrence Ati Zigi (Sochaux, France).

The Black Stars are expected to leave their camping base in Dubai for Egypt on Thursday June 20, a day before the tournament starts.
Ghana’s final 23-man squad will test their strength against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Saturday, June 15.
Ghana will open their AFCON campaign against Benin on June 25 at the Ismailia Stadium as they hope to commence their Group F campaign on a bright note.
