Akonnor handed players who have not been playing actively the opportunity in their game against Asec Mimosas in the Otumfuo Cup as well as their Tier II clash with Real Tamale United.
Assessing their performance on Thursday afternoon at light FM in Kumasi, the coach urged the players to maintain the tempo and capitalize on the opportunities given to them.
“I was very happy with their performance from some of our fringe players.
“Players including Collins Ameyaw, Daniel Nii Adjei, Kwame Boahene have been impressive. They should maintain their tempo and capitalize on such opportunities”
Asante Kotoko will face Nkoranza Warriors in the round of 16 clash of the Tier II competition.
