According to our reporter, Akakpo Snr Kaikai, Dr Amo Sarpong fired gunshots few minutes to the kickoff of the clash between Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko.
He said Operations Officer of Asante Kotoko, Perugia was attacked by angry fans of the home side for reasons yet to be known.
The Policy Analyst swiftly dived into his car and hurriedly came out with a pistol, firing warning shots in the midst of the confusion.
The chaos resulted in Dr Sarpong being injured; has been rushed to the Berekum Government Hospital for medical attention.
