The workers who were laid off between 2013 and 2014 say several attempts to have the company fulfil its obligation to them have proven futile.
The spokesperson for the aggrieved former workers Alex Frimpong tells Starr News that the members will embark on series of demonstrations to pile pressure on the company if the 10-day ultimatum elapses without any concrete action.
“Until the end of this month if they don’t give us our money we will stage a very powerful demonstration. We don’t have time to go to court where it can travel up to ten years before the matter is ruled over. When they laid us off they did not tell us to go to court to collect our termination letters. They gave us the letters at the HR department so we want to collect the money from them direct and we don’t have time to go to court.”
