To the Minister, the initiative has the potential of taking care of the accommodation challenges confronting average Ghanaians.
As a result, he has suggested to private sectors like FCCL to partner government take its affordable housing project a notch higher.
And at the launch of FCCL 10th anniversary and Affordable housing project, at its Awudome Estate office in Accra, the Minister said his outfit has rolled out programs to encourage a mortgage regime.
He said " l am happy this is coming from the private sector, we want the private sector to partner government push this agenda.
"The housing system is changing, new methods of building is emerging; where houses are completed within a short space of time, but we demand expertise. I celebrate 'Ghanaianness', so l charge other private institutions to follow suit."
Head of Corporate and Strategy, Mr Cecil Owusu Addo pointed out that the initiative seeks primarily to address the numerous housing challenges confronting Ghanaians.
