According to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, he spoke to the deceased a day before his death and he sounded very energetic.
He said they discussed issues of strategy on how to handle the current Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo’s invitation by the CID, during which discussion he did not discuss his ill-health.
The former National chairman passed away Tuesday morning at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital after a short illness.
He was 76.
His death came to many as a surprise even though he had been sick for some time. Party members have been paying glowing tribute to Dr. Kwabena Adjei who worked hard to bring the NDC back to power.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Wednesday about his memories of him, Asiedu Nketia eulogized the former Chairman, describing him as a selfless person.
He said late former chairman of his party was a strong-spirited personality and will be missed by many.
“I worked with him in Parliament and at the Agric Ministry as his deputy. He is a selfless person who is very dedicated to his job. Our friendship grew stronger when we both decided to serve the NDC,” he stated.
General Mosquito as he is popularly called said he has lost a great friend and “I will really miss ” .
Dr Kwabena Adjei, until his passing, was a member of the Council of Elders of the NDC, a Former PNDC Deputy Secretary for Volta Region and Former PNDC Deputy Secretary for Industries, Science & Technology.
He also served as a former Lands Minister, Agric Minister and Parliamentary Affairs Minister. Read Full Story
