“This is not the first time such an incident has happened. Ask why the NPP members poured acid on the Upper East Regional Chairman of their party. I think those who fired the shots or the person who fired the shot was possessed by the devil,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen Tuesday.
Four members of pro-NDC vigilante group, the Hawks have been declared wanted by the Ashanti Regional Police Command for their roles in Monday’s shooting that led to the death of one person with another injured.
According to the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP Godwin Ahianyo, Warrior, Damos, Mejimah and Abu Taliban, who are members are major suspects who are being pursued by the police.
Mr Alhaji Sani who was at the scene when the shooting took place said he can identify the person who fired the shot, indicating that the person was part of some NDC members who were at the party office prior to the meeting.
“I saw the guys when I was entering the office for the meeting. I even greeted them. Just when I was about to enter, I saw one guy firing shots but I don’t know him,” he noted.
He, therefore, called on the police to arrest perpetrators of the acts who he believes are all members of the NDC.
