The Porcupine Warriors will be engaging Sudanese side Al Hilal on Sunday, February 3 in the Group C opening game of the group stage.
The Ghanaians have been drawn together with the North Africans in Group C, which is completed by Zambian duo Zesco United and Nkana FC.
The Reds secured qualification to this year's CAF Confederation Cup Group stage for the first since 2008 having beaten Cameroon side Coton Sport 5-3 on aggregate.
A 30-man contingent is airborne to Ethiopia, en route to Sudan, ahead of Sunday's CAF Confederation Cup opening Group C fixture.
Khalil Musa, who was at the KIA to see off the Porcupines, said he has asked for the contingent to be given utmost security in the country saddled with intermittent security unrest.
''Ghana is a peaceful country, and I have told my people to give you maximum security."

"I wish you well though I support my people,” said Khalil Musa.
"I have a firm belief that Asante Kotoko will make it to the next stage in the CAFCC," Khalil Musa added.
