The squad comprises many of the players who were instrumental in Kotoko’s 5-3 aggregate victory over Coton Sport of Cameroun, which qualified the team to the group stage of Africa’s second-tier club competition.
Coach Akonnor dropped experienced midfielders Jordan Opoku and Daniel Nii Adjei, as well as striker Naby Keita, who also missed the trip to Garoua two weeks ago to play Coton Sport in the first leg match.
The team comprises two goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and three strikers.
