The beautiful ceremony held at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi saw the creme-de-la-creme in Ghana's political landscape and other prominent people attending.
As if it had been planned, many of these politicians who attended decided to wear the traditional dress of the Dagomba people, smocks (batakari).
Led by the new Ya-Na himself there were a plethora of beautiful smocks which could easily qualify the occasion as a festival of smocks.
