Kotoko was set to play against Edding Sports of Cameroon but had a walkover due to a late submission by their Cameroonian counterparts.
The team on Sunday, eliminated Coton sport de Garoua to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital
Kotoko needed just a draw to qualify but the home team put the icing on the cake when they took a two-goal lead to make it 5:3 on aggregate as they defeated Coton Sport 3:2 at Yaounde last week.
C.K. Akunnor, however, admits that it was not in his target to take Kotoko to the group stage of the competition because he was coincidentally appointed at the same expressing doubts in his ability to deliver.
