McCarthy is the newest addition for the Phobians club who beefing up their squad following the recent signing of Dominic Eshun and Richmond Ayi from.
The 20-year-old McCarthy joined Hearts as a free agent after being released by Sharks alongside 11 other players in January.
Hearts announced the player’s signing on their official Twitter page on Tuesday.

Similarly, the Premiership side sent a goodwill message to their former midfielder wishing him a successful career at Hearts.
“Congratulations to Charles MacKarthy on signing for @HeartsOfOakGH. We wish you the very best of luck at your new club,” Sharks wrote on their Twitter page.
A former player of the national U-20 side, Black Satellites, McKarthy represents strong character in midfield and would offer competition for Coach Kim Grant’s midfielders such as Malik Akowuah, Aminu Alhassan, Camara Nguessan and other young players.
McKarthy, who has also represented the national U-23 side, is unlikely to make his Hearts debut when they meet division one side Tudu Mighty Jets in a friendly on Wednesday. Read Full Story
