Tanko who doubles as the deputy Black Stars coach selected some of the key players from the Premier league as well as the second tier league for form the core of Ghana’s men Olympic team.
The selected players are scheduled to start camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Friday, November 30.
The winner of the two-leg duel between Ghana and Togo will move to the next stage of the qualifiers to face countries like Nigeria, Congo, Senegal and South Africa who have all drawn bye for the second round.
Seven nations will join host Egypt for next year’s Championship. The first three teams from the competition in Egypt next year will represent Africa at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.
The last time Ghana participated in the Olympic Games was in 2004 in Athens, Greece.
