The Codetrain App Developer Conference was a call to all who are interested in learning about opportunities in the tech industry and how to find jobs in big tech companies. Students, developers, tech enthusiasts, interested individuals and organizations were all invited to partake in the conversation surrounding the ever-changing world of technology.
The goal of the conference was to educate students about the opportunities in the world of technology and how they could get the required skills to get such opportunities. It was also an opportunity for students to get informed about how they can get support from funding organisations, incubators and accelerators to start their own software companies.
Codetrain also launched its app training programme at the event to offer an opportunity to students in Kumasi to enroll to become professional app developers.

Codetrain is a web and mobile app training programme which aims to offer practical skills in technology to Ghana youth to empower them to match up to their peers globally in today’s digital world. Codetrain offers practical skills training in mobile and web application development to enable Ghana’s youth get practical and employable skills in technology. It will enable them get job opportunities in the fast growing global technology space. Students get both training and mentorship from experienced software developers to gain the hard and soft skills required to be successful IT professionals and entrepreneurs. Over the last year in Accra, Codetrain has trained thousands of high school and university students and graduates in software and app development in over 30 schools, including KNUST, Lancaster University, Ashesi University, and Achimota School.
