The Finance Minister reading the 2019 budget in Parliament said the policy of the government “is not to stand and throw its hands in the air but to implement policies that would positively affect the people.
He said they are aware several Ghanaians are still living in poverty and are very unhappy about the situation.
He said the President believes he was elected to work and that is what they intend to do by the end of their tenure.
According to him, the 2019 budget will stabilize the economy, protect the public purse and create more jobs.
The Minority however has predicted doom and hell for the budget, but the government says the 2019 budget will offer hope.
